Wordless Wednesday: Walk in the Woods

Why did they invite the mushroom to the party?

Mushrooms in the woods on the way to the neighborhood pool.
If I have correctly identified it, it's a very desireable, edible mushroom called a Chanterelle.
If it's not, I think it would kill me within minutes...or at least make me wish I was dead.
I think I'll just let sleeping dogs lie...

Because they heard he was a fun-gi.
